Description
Biotinylated NAD+ (6-biotin-17-nicotinamide-adenine-dinucleotide, 6-biotin-17-NAD), is a non-radiolabeled substrate alternative for measuring the activity of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). PARPs are a family of enzymes primarily involved in cellular processes such as programmed cell death and DNA repair. NAD+ is a required substrate for generating ADP-ribose monomers. A biotinylated variant of NAD+ enables the indirect measurement of PARP activity through detection of biotin incorporation using a conjugated-streptavidin detection system.
